Ra'am Chairman Mansour Abbas announced that former Deputy Minister of Public Security Yoav Saglovich will join the party's list. Saglovich, a former police commissioner, rejected claims that the move signals political weakness, asserting that political unity is essential for the country's progress.

Saglovich holds onto his Zionist identity. Abbas also does not hide his Palestinian identity. This is exactly what makes their actions unprecedented – and will even allow them to bypass the trap of the question of Zionism.

The outgoing Yesh Atid MK will present his conditions for joining the Ra'am list tomorrow. His demands include the number two spot without formal party membership and exemption from factional discipline. Meanwhile, Arab local council leaders are urging Abbas to unite with Ahmad Tibi's Ta'al, following the freeze in negotiations between Ta'al, Hadash, and Balad.

Mansour Abbas should not settle for an entry ticket to the club, but rather change the conditions for admission to it. He should not agree that the system decides which Arabs are "kosher" for partnership, but challenge the very test of kashrut. So that no one is required to deposit their identity at the entrance.

Following reports on secret negotiations and Yoav Saglovich's resignation from Yesh Atid, the Ra'am party is gauging public opinion. Mansour Abbas stated that decisions regarding reserved spots will be made by a special forum after the primaries, and dismissed rumors of a name change as "fake news."
