Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, damaging residential buildings. The attack ended a 72-hour capital-strike truce as U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner push to revive peace talks.

While Ukraine and Russia await the arrival of Witkoff and Kushner, further escalation is occurring in the war as a UAV hit the central headquarters of the Ukrainian Security Service. At the same time, Russia is changing tactics and moving to non-stop attacks throughout the day, shattering the daily routine of Kyiv residents. Ukraine continues to strike oil facilities.

An unusual incident occurred in the Ukrainian capital following the arrest of a Russian opposition fighter suspected of ties to Moscow's intelligence services. Volodymyr Zelensky ordered both sides to lay down their arms and open an investigation into the incident.

A new Ukrainian drone, resembling the Iranian "Shahed", was recently discovered. It is the MICH-2000, which was reverse-engineered from a Chinese model after Beijing refused to sell it. The drone is now being used for critical long-range strikes.
