Repatriation

In 2022-2024, there was a drastic 53% decrease in the number of returning residents. According to the Knesset Research and Information Center, the main deterrents are the waiting period for health insurance, discrimination in rights compared to new immigrants, and difficulties in integrating children.

This week, I accompanied a flight from Paris to Israel carrying 34 families and 80 children. At thousands of feet in the air, you realize that courage is not just about the battlefield, but about the determination of parents to build their future in the only country we call home.
