Military Appointments

In a broad round of IDF appointments, the next commanders for the Givati, Paratroopers, Nahal, Commando, Kfir, and armored brigades were determined. Defense Minister Israel Katz also approved the appointment of Major General Dado Bar Kalifa as the next commander of the Central Command, effective in 2027.

The IDF announced the appointment of Major General Dado Bar Kalifa as Commander of the Central Command. He will replace Major General Avi Bluth in 2027.

Six senior military appointments were announced today, including a new Chief of General Staff and an official commander for the Revolutionary Guards. Hossein Taeb, dismissed after intelligence failures to prevent assassinations, returns to the top security echelon.
