Rafael Jodar reached the semifinals of a Masters tournament for the first time in his career this Tuesday evening. The 19-year-old Spaniard, ranked 15th in the world, achieved this feat in Montreal after a 6:7 (5), 3:6 victory over Frenchman Arthur Fils.

The 39-year-old Serbian will participate in the final warm-up tournament before the US Open, in an attempt to shake off the rust as he continues his journey toward a 25th Grand Slam title: "I can't wait to return."
