About a year after the deadly terror event on Yom Kippur, in which two worshipers were murdered, authorities in the UK announced that a 49-year-old Iraqi citizen is accused of failing to report to authorities information about terrorist activity related to the attack. During the bloody attack, a Syrian-born British citizen drove a car toward the worshipers and stabbed one of them.

Roksar Ahmad, a former Pakistani government minister, was arrested in the UK on suspicion of sexual offenses committed in the 1990s. Despite the ongoing investigation, he fled the country and refuses to return for questioning.

A Manchester court sentenced 31-year-old Muhammad Asim Bashir to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 17 years. He pleaded guilty to preparing a terrorist act and assisting Jihad al-Shami, who had previously carried out the attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue.
