A Krakow court released two young Israeli ultra-Orthodox women on bail after three months in detention for smuggling 100 kg of khat, facing strict travel restrictions.

Following a routine inspection in Yokneam Illit, the Ministry of Health has urged the public to avoid the khat-leaf and fruit-based beverage GATRY. The ministry's investigation revealed that the manufacturer is unknown and the product violates Israeli food laws, which permit the consumption of khat leaves only in their natural form.

Khat smuggling by Israelis is becoming a major issue in Europe. Greek authorities have implemented strict measures, holding suspects in detention for months while awaiting laboratory analysis.
