Keshet Cave

It has been cleared for publication that Yonatan (Toni) Ephraim Klimian, 16, from Katzrin, is the teenager who died on Sunday in the disaster at Keshet Cave in the Western Galilee. The late Klimian was a student at the Yeshiva High School in Hispin. The Katzrin Local Council shared in the heavy grief of the family, noting that Yonatan died during a hike he loved and in the land he loved.

A 16-year-old boy died after falling from a height of 30 to 40 meters at Keshet Cave, apparently while rappelling. Due to the complex terrain, a rescue operation was conducted involving fire and rescue forces and Unit 669. After reaching the victim, an MDA paramedic pronounced his death.
