Head Injuries

Headers seem to us an inseparable part of a football game, but more and more cities and countries are deciding that, at least for young ages, it is not legitimate.

The Italian football club Como, playing in the first division, has announced a complete ban on heading the ball in its youth academy for younger age groups to prevent brain injuries. The initiative is led by former player Raphaël Varane.
