Israel and Finland have signed an agreement extending and expanding their security cooperation. This follows reports that Helsinki is ending its funding for UNRWA.

After a week-long search, an Israeli man who went on a solo cycling trip was found dead on the side of the road. Local police believe he was struck by a passing vehicle. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ZAKA International Unit are coordinating the repatriation of his body.

The company Polar Night Energy has built a 13-meter-high tower in the town of Pornainen containing compressed sand reservoirs, which "absorb" cheap electricity from wind and solar, and release it on demand. The reservoir already generates 55%–60% of the local district heating and reduces gas usage by 80%, and the ability to convert the heat back into electricity is now being tested.
