Claudio Tapia

Lionel Scaloni has agreed to extend his contract as Argentina's manager through the 2030 World Cup, ending speculation about his future following the team's recent transition period.

Lionel Messi is set for an official farewell match with the Argentina national team against Benin on October 6 in Buenos Aires, following his retirement announcement.

Association president Claudio Tapia made it clear that no pressure will be applied on the 39-year-old star to continue until the 2028 Copa America: "Let him continue to enjoy football and decide what is right for him." And what about Scaloni?
