Police have determined that a fire in a residential structure near Beit Amra was caused by a short circuit, not arson. The findings contradict claims made by local residents that Israelis were responsible for the blaze.

Police, forensics, and firefighters entered the Beit Amra area this morning under IDF protection to investigate reports of a Palestinian home being set on fire by Israelis. Investigators determined that no accelerants were found and the blaze was caused solely by an electrical failure. There were no casualties.
