Suspect Arrested with Over 6 Kg of Drugs at Yokneam Tunnels
A 19-year-old from Segev Shalom was arrested at the Yokneam Tunnels carrying over 6 kg of hashish hidden in his spare tire on the eve of Rosh Hashanah.

A 19-year-old resident of Segev Shalom was arrested on the eve of Rosh Hashanah at the Yokneam Tunnels while in possession of over 6 kilograms of drugs.
After police officers grew suspicious of the driver, they conducted a thorough search of the vehicle. During the search, the spare tire was removed from its place, revealing a black bag containing a large number of packages suspected to contain hashish.
The suspect was arrested and transferred for questioning at the police station. Upon weighing the packages, it was determined to be more than 6 kilograms of drugs, which police estimate are worth hundreds of thousands of shekels on the criminal market.
Yesterday, at the end of the holiday, the Magistrates' Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth extended the suspect's detention until September 17. Police stated that Northern District officers are continuing their operations against crime and utilizing a variety of measures to locate drugs and bring suspects to justice.
