False Terrorist Infiltration Alarm Triggered in Samaria Community Yitzhar
False alarms of suspected terrorist infiltrations were triggered in Yitzhar in Samaria. Security forces confirmed the suspects were local residents following recent security scares.
False alarm alerts for suspected terrorists were activated today (Saturday) in Yitzhar, located in Samaria. Security forces rushed to the scene, but it was later determined that the two individuals identified were actually residents of the community.
Last month, a similar alert regarding a suspected terrorist infiltration was triggered in another Samarian community, Ofarim. The IDF stated at the time that they were in "constant contact with residents and security forces in the area."
Additionally, last month raised real concerns of an infiltration at Kibbutz Zikim, near the Gaza envelope. The kibbutz management reported that following extensive sweeps, nothing unusual was found on the kibbutz grounds, and residents were instructed to return to routine.
"The kibbutz defense forces are closing the breach in the fence and reinforcing security along the kibbutz borders until further notice," management added, noting residents had to lock themselves indoors following the security breach.
