Yehuda Levi Returns to TV in Thriller Drama 'The Escape' and Talks Fatherhood
Israeli actor Yehuda Levi stars in the new thriller drama "The Escape", discussing how becoming a father to his newborn daughter Naya profoundly transformed his perspective on life and acting.

Yehuda Levi returns to the screen this Saturday in the new thriller drama "The Escape". In the series, he steps into the shoes of a former security official who embarks on a daring and complex rescue operation. Inspired by severe revelations about cults uncovered in recent years, the plot features a character unlike any he has played so far -- a lone wolf carrying a painful past.
A significant part of Levi's attraction to the project was its central theme. The actor shared that the topic of mental control and the deprivation of freedom has always intrigued him, alongside the desire to bring a powerful rescue story to the screen. However, although the series was filmed abroad before the birth of his daughter Naya, his perspective on the role and the meaning of parenthood has completely changed since becoming a father.
In an interview with Mako, Levi explained that today, following the birth, the intensity of the experience takes on a whole new meaning. "I believe that if I had filmed the series after she was born, it would have hit me even harder," he said.
He emphasized his willingness to go to extremes for the family, noting that becoming a father reshaped his priorities. The arrival of his daughter took center stage in his life, eclipsing other endeavors as he looks forward to expanding his family in the future.
