Israeli actor and comedian Eli Yatzpan mediated the acquisition of a 50% stake in the catering company Lee Bar by the private equity firm Sky Fund, based on a company valuation of 350 million shekels, according to local media reports. Yatzpan and his partner, Or Bismut, are expected to receive millions of shekels for their brokerage role in the transaction.

The two partners run Exodus, a joint investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, focusing on family-owned businesses in industry, real estate, food, pharmaceuticals, and energy. Yatzpan serves as chairman of the company, while Bismut acts as chief investment banker. Active for seven years, Exodus initially concentrated on real estate before expanding into diverse sectors.

Standard brokerage commissions in such transactions range from 1.5% to 2%, leading market estimates to suggest the pair earned millions of shekels for facilitating the deal. The agreement for the sale of Lee Bar shares was signed in August and finalized in early September, with Sky investing 170 million shekels into the enterprise.

Part of Sky's capital injection will be directed into the catering company itself, while the remainder will go to the founders and owners, the Yifrah couple.
