Yair Netanyahu Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Activist Ami Dror
Yair Netanyahu filed a 500,000-shekel defamation lawsuit against activist Ami Dror over false claims of assaulting his prime minister father and fleeing Israel.
Yair Netanyahu, the prime minister's son, has filed a defamation lawsuit seeking 500,000 shekels against protest activist Ami Dror. Filed at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, the lawsuit targets a series of social media posts and a media interview by Dror.
At the center of the lawsuit is Netanyahu's categorical denial of claims that he assaulted his father. He calls it an unfounded rumor presented as a fait accompli. Netanyahu also denies any connection to a classified document leak to Bild and Qatari figures.
The lawsuit details a May 2025 post where Dror allegedly claimed Yair Netanyahu slapped his father before fleeing Israel to dodge a criminal investigation. Dror reportedly described a covert return bypassing border control.
Netanyahu's legal team argues that the detailed narrative was intentionally crafted to lend credibility to false allegations and present them as facts to the public.
