Yaakov Bardugo and Channel 14 in deep mourning: "He is not with us. Our condolences"
During the broadcast of the current affairs program "Weekend," host Yaakov Bardugo announced the heavy loss that befell panelist Prof. Gabi Siboni, whose brother, Hebrew language researcher Prof. Daniel Sivan-Siboni, passed away at the age of 76.

An atmosphere of deep mourning has settled over the corridors of Channel 14. The sorrow reached the studio just as the current affairs program "Weekend" was concluding its interview with Gadi Taub, host of the "Shomer HaSaf" (Guardian of the Threshold) podcast, who recently achieved a significant milestone by hosting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Following the interview, well-known host Yaakov Bardugo took a moment to share the heavy atmosphere with the viewers.
The reason for the absence of regular panelist and renowned officer Prof. Gabi Siboni was the tragic news he received that morning. His brother, Prof. Daniel Sivan-Siboni, a distinguished researcher of the Hebrew language at Ben-Gurion University, passed away at the age of 76.
Host Yaakov Bardugo offered warm condolences to his friend and colleague during the live broadcast, concluding with emotional words: "Professor Gabi Siboni, we share in your deep mourning, as your brother, Professor Daniel Sivan-Siboni, passed away today. That is why Gabi is not with us today. Our condolences to you, Professor."
