The tech giant Xiaomi introduces a new device: the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, featuring a 10,000mAh battery and exceptional durability. A month after its unveiling in China, the Redmi Note 17 series is now making its way to the international market.
Alongside familiar models, the company has unveiled a top-tier version that sets a new standard in the mid-range category, focusing on unprecedented battery capacity and high physical durability.
The international launch is underway in selected markets, with an official event scheduled for August 27. Following this, the entire series, including the Note 17 and Note 17 Pro models, is expected to arrive in Israeli stores.
The most prominent feature of the Pro Max model is the integration of a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery — the largest ever in the Redmi series — which supports 100W fast charging (HyperCharge). In terms of durability, the device has received a 5-star rating from TÜV SÜD, including protection against drops from up to 3 meters and water and dust resistance according to IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards.
The device features a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating. It is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor with up to 24GB of combined RAM (12GB physical plus 12GB virtual expansion).
The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera.
The "Cloud Blush" finish uses photochromic technology that reacts to sunlight, shifting from a delicate pearl to a colorful sunset hue (in addition to black, green, and purple options).
Xiaomi is providing an extended service package, including a 24-month standard warranty, free screen replacement for the first two years, and free battery replacement within three years of purchase.
Based on its mid-premium positioning, the estimated global price ranges from $350 to $450 depending on configuration. In Israel, the device is expected to retail between 1,400 and 1,900 shekels, including taxes and importer warranty. Exact pricing will be confirmed upon the official arrival in local retail chains.
