Wizz Air Lowers Fares for European Christmas Markets

Low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced significant price cuts on flights from Tel Aviv to various European destinations ahead of the upcoming Christmas market season. The airline, which resumed its operations in Israel earlier this year, is offering round-trip fares ranging between 380 and 600 shekels (approximately 110 to 170 euros) for travel scheduled between mid-November and early January.

Christmas markets are a deeply rooted European tradition originating in Germany and neighboring German-speaking regions during the Middle Ages. Today, these festive hubs transform city squares and historic streets with sparkling holiday lights, towering Christmas trees, and traditional wooden stalls. Visitors flock to these markets to purchase handcrafted gifts, seasonal decorations, and regional delicacies while enjoying traditional warm beverages like mulled wine under festive holiday music.

To accommodate travelers looking to experience the festive winter atmosphere, Wizz Air has highlighted several affordable route options across its extensive European network:

  • Warsaw, Poland: Round-trip flights operating from November 27 to December 4 are available starting at 132 euros (452 shekels).

  • Krakow, Poland: Round-trip connections running from November 30 to December 7 are priced starting at 176 euros (605 shekels).

Operational Reliability and Network Growth

Wizz Air emphasized that since the beginning of 2026, it has recorded a flight completion rate of 99.53%, positioning the carrier among the most reliable airlines in Europe.

The carrier's return to Ben-Gurion Airport has proven vital for Israeli travelers seeking diverse international connections. Operating over 1,000 routes across its global network, the budget airline aims to transport more than 80 million passengers throughout the year.
