This is according to preliminary estimates published by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The updated average salary for June was 15,218 shekels. The average salary for an employee in high-tech: 36,584 shekels.

The average salary of an Israeli employee totaled 14,561 shekels in July - an increase of 499 shekels and a rise of 3.5% compared to July of last year. This was published today (Thursday) by the Central Bureau of Statistics based on preliminary estimates. According to these same estimates, the number of employee positions for Israeli workers in July totaled 4.233 million - an increase of 0.3% compared to the preceding month of June and 0.3% compared to July of last year.
At the same time, the Central Bureau of Statistics is publishing updated data for the average salary in June. These data show that the average salary in current prices for an Israeli worker stood at 15,218 shekels - an increase of 1,086 shekels and a rise of 7.7% compared to June of last year. The average salary of Israeli employees in the high-tech sector in June was 36,584 shekels - an increase of 3,845 shekels and a rise of 11.7% compared to June of last year. The number of employee positions in local high-tech in June was 396.9 thousand - no change compared to the preceding month of May and an increase of 0.2% compared to June of last year. The rate of employee positions in high-tech totaled 9.4% of all employee positions in the economy in June.
