Transmit Security Appoints Matt Thompson as CEO and Launches Agentic Trust
Transmit Security names Matt Thompson as CEO as co-founder Miki Boodaei moves to chairman. The company also launched Agentic Trust to manage risks from AI agents.

Cybersecurity and identity management firm Transmit Security has announced the appointment of Matt Thompson as its new CEO, succeeding co-founder Miki Boodaei, who has led the company since its inception and will now serve as chairman. Thompson previously served as president of Socure, co-founded ID.me, and was an officer in the U.S. Army Special Operations Forces.
Introduction of Agentic Trust
Alongside the leadership change, Transmit Security unveiled a new solution called Agentic Trust. The system is designed to help banks, financial institutions, and retailers identify and manage risks stemming from artificial intelligence agents acting on behalf of customers. These agents can perform financial transactions for consumers, such as opening accounts, transferring funds, and making purchases. Because they operate using valid user permissions, traditional security and fraud-prevention systems struggle to distinguish them from human users or malicious bots.
The new solution enables organizations to track agent activity across digital channels, identify the type of agent and the specific action it requests, and manage granted permissions in a controlled manner for a limited time. Boodaei welcomed the appointment, stating that he has followed Thompson achievements over the past decade and sees the move as an opportunity to lead the company into its next growth phase. According to Boodaei, organizations currently face challenges regarding AI agents and cannot rely on blanket approvals or outright blocking.
Company Background and Growth
Thompson brings extensive experience in managing and scaling digital identity companies. In his most recent role as president and chief commercial officer of Socure, he led a revenue growth of over 500%. Transmit Security was founded in 2014 by Miki Boodaei and Rakesh Loonkar, veteran cybersecurity entrepreneurs previously involved with Imperva and Trusteer, which was sold to IBM. The company specializes in customer identity and access management, and in 2021 raised $543 million in its first funding round at a valuation of approximately $2.3 billion.
