High-tech layoff wave continues: Israeli company IVIX cuts 10% of staff
Israeli tech firm IVIX, which combats financial crime for governments, has announced a 10% workforce reduction alongside a strategic pivot toward new AI-driven investigative tools.

The Israeli startup IVIX, developer of an AI platform that assists governments and law enforcement agencies in combating large-scale financial crime, has announced a major organizational restructuring involving workforce adjustments and technological expansion.
As part of this shift to focus resources on new growth areas, the company has laid off approximately 10% of its staff (about 9 out of 90 employees). Concurrently, the company is reallocating resources and continuing to hire for key growth sectors.
At the heart of this new phase is the launch of an innovative AI product serving as a financial investigator for some of the world's largest law enforcement agencies. The product, currently in pilot, enables authorities to perform complex analyses at high speeds and volumes.
The system automates information collection, data analysis, and the identification of patterns linked to illicit financial activity, significantly streamlining investigative workflows.
To support this expansion, the company appointed Yonatan Maman as VP of R&D. Maman, formerly CTO at Outbrain and an engineer at IBM Research and Elbit Systems, will lead the company's global R&D organization and next-generation product development.
Founded in 2020 by Matan Patel (CEO) and Doron Pasov (VP Product), IVIX has raised approximately 85 million dollars from leading funds such as Insight Partners, Team8, and Citi Ventures. Over the years, the company has been instrumental in uncovering hidden financial assets worldwide.
These layoffs join a broader trend in the Israeli high-tech sector. The year 2026 has seen a significant wave of cuts; however, unlike past crises, these are driven not by economic collapse but by aggressive efficiency measures and automation, with the artificial intelligence revolution serving as the primary catalyst.
