Extreme Heatwave Approaching: Meteorological Service Issues Unusual Warning
The Meteorological Service has issued red, orange, and yellow alerts for extreme heat stress expected tomorrow across the country. Here are the affected areas, critical timeframes, and expected conditions.
The Israel Meteorological Service has issued advance warnings at red, orange, and yellow levels due to unusual and extreme heat stress expected to prevail tomorrow across the country, from the North to the South, starting from early morning until late evening.
According to the service's announcement, a red alert (the highest risk level) has been activated for the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret Valley, the Jordan Valley, the southern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea area, and the northern Arava. In these regions, heavy to extreme heat stress is expected between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Simultaneously, an orange alert has been issued for the southern Golan Heights, eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, northern Judean Desert and Dead Sea area, as well as the Gulf of Eilat and the southern Arava. In these areas, heavy heat stress will be felt between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
In addition, a wide range of areas is included under a yellow alert. Between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM, heat stress is expected in the eastern Upper Galilee, western Lower Galilee, Jezreel Valley, Ramot Menashe, the northern coastal plain, northern Sharon, Gush Dan, the Shephelah, northern and northeastern Samaria, the Judean Desert fringe, and all areas of the Negev and the Eilat Mountains. An additional focused yellow alert will be in effect for Mount Carmel and the southern coastal plain between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
