US Aircraft Damaged in Iranian Missile Attack on Jordan Base
Several US Air Force jets were damaged in an Iranian missile strike on Jordan's Muwaffaq Salti Air Base amid a sharp escalation between Washington and Tehran in the Gulf region.
Several US Air Force aircraft were damaged during the Iranian missile attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. According to US reports, an A-10 attack aircraft sustained heavy damage to its wing, while about eight F-15 fighter jets suffered minor damage and were returned to service.
The attack on the base in Jordan is part of a broader escalation wave between Washington and Tehran. Overnight, Iranian media reported a wave of US strikes in Sirik, alongside explosions heard in the sea area near Minab and Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced two days ago that they had attacked two US vessels and eight oil tankers in the Gulf.
These strikes followed confirmation by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) that it had destroyed five Iranian oil tankers in response to ballistic missiles fired at a US warship. Responding to the escalation, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a severe warning to Tehran, stating that whenever Iran attempts to target US Navy ships, it will lose oil tankers.
