Houthis Seize Strategic Port City of Mocha in Yemen
Yemeni government sources report that the Iran-backed Houthis have seized the strategic port city of Mocha, advancing toward the Bab el-Mandeb strait amid ongoing clashes.

Three Yemeni government sources told Reuters that the Houthis have gained control of the strategic port city of Mocha. By doing so, the Iran-backed Houthis have achieved a major objective on their southward march toward the Bab el-Mandeb strait.
Earlier, Houthi-affiliated media reported that the terrorist organization seized two areas in Al-Hudaydah province overnight. General Tariq Saleh, aligned with the legitimate government forces, reported fatalities and injuries among his troops in recent days as they confront the Houthi offensive.
He stated that the command directed forces on the west coast to reorganize and establish an alternative headquarters in a safe location. Concurrently, a series of airstrikes against Houthi positions was reported in Al-Hudaydah province.
