US Ambassador Announces Upcoming Construction of Permanent Jerusalem Embassy

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced a historic step in strengthening bilateral relations, stating that the United States will soon begin construction on the permanent US Embassy complex in Jerusalem. Speaking at a diplomatic reception for the Sukkot holiday hosted by Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion at Safra Square, Huckabee emphasized America's long-term commitment to the city.

According to reports, the new embassy complex will be established at the Allenby compound in the southern part of the capital. During the event, Huckabee stated that the embassy will leave a permanent mark in the city, reinforcing the US presence in Jerusalem. Mayor Lion welcomed the diplomats and called on additional nations to relocate their missions to the capital, as Colombia prepares to become the tenth country to take this step.
