Automotive giant with great news for Israelis: 475 km without paying an extra shekel
GEELY updates its local model lineup: the E5 crossover will be marketed with an enlarged battery and a range of 475 km with no change in price, and a new trim level for the Starray will improve electric range. All the details.
The GEELY brand announces a comprehensive update to its model lineup in Israel, within which the driving ranges of two of the company's central models will be increased, while maintaining existing price levels.
As part of the move, the electric crossover EX5 will change its name and will henceforth be marketed as the E5. The top versions of the model, PRO+ and TECH+, will be upgraded and equipped with an enlarged Short Blade battery with a capacity of 68.39 kWh. The upgrade will grant the vehicles an improved driving range of up to 475 km (according to the WLTP standard), without increasing the list prices of the previous equivalent versions.
At the same time, the Starray EM-i plug-in model lineup is expanding significantly with the launch of a new top trim level called ULTRA. This version is equipped with a 29.8 kWh capacity battery, which jumps the driving range on pure electricity from 83 km to 136 km. In addition, the new model supports fast DC charging with a power of up to 60 kW (compared to 30 kW in existing versions), and offers an impressive combined driving range of up to 996 km.

The current upgrade comes against the backdrop of significant growth momentum for the brand. Data from the first half of 2026 shows that GEELY has established itself in first place in retail sales of passenger cars in China. A similar trend is being recorded in Israel: by the end of last July, 5,589 vehicles of the brand were delivered, a figure reflecting a sharp jump of 120% compared to the same period last year.
As a reminder, in order to provide a comprehensive response to the gaps that arose in the vehicle replacement processes in Israel, GEELY recently launched a dedicated move in which customers could hand over their existing vehicle and receive a list price for it (subject to regulations) when purchasing the EX5 (now marketed as E5) and STARRAY models.
