5-year-old child rescued from lake in Tel Aviv in critical condition
Emergency services were called on Friday to Menachem Begin Park (Darom Park) following reports of a child who went missing in the lake. It is believed the child entered the water with a friend, who later exited alone. The child was rescued by a bystander using a kayak and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Emergency services were called on Friday to Menachem Begin Park (Darom Park) following reports of a child, approximately 6 years old, who went missing in the lake. It is believed the child entered the water with a friend, who later exited alone. The child was eventually rescued by a bystander who was at the scene with a kayak.
MDA paramedic Simcha Simanduev, emergency medical technician Orel Toledano, and MDA medic Georgi Avetisyan stated:
"We received a report of a child missing in the lake. We arrived at the scene with significant forces, including ambulances and motorcycles. During the search, the child was brought to us unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. We immediately began resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and the administration of medications. We then transported him in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the trauma unit in critical condition."
