A 5-year-old child drowned today, Friday, in a lake at Park Darom in Tel Aviv. Following an extensive search, he was located in the water. MADA medical teams performed resuscitation efforts before evacuating him to the hospital in critical condition.

MADA paramedic Simcha Simanduev, emergency medical technician Orel Toledano, and medic Georgi Avetisyan stated:

"We received a report about a child missing in a lake. We arrived at the scene with large forces of ambulances, motorcycles, and rapid response vehicles. During the search, the child was brought to us unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. We immediately began resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administration of medications. We loaded him into a MADA intensive care ambulance and evacuated him to the trauma unit while his condition was critical."

According to initial reports, the child entered the lake on Biranit Street with a friend. The friend managed to get out of the water, but the 5-year-old did not, prompting an emergency call.

Firefighters and the YELAM Special Rescue Unit began searching for the child. The Lehava unit, the national special rescue force of the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority, was also dispatched to the scene. Upon being recovered from the water, the child received immediate medical intervention before being transported to the hospital.
