4-Year-Old Boy Likely Stung by Yellow Scorpion in Arad: Condition Serious

A 4-year-old boy was evacuated this Thursday evening to Soroka Hospital in serious condition, sedated and intubated, after likely being stung by a yellow scorpion in Arad.

The child was initially brought to a local clinic suffering from acute shortness of breath and signs of a sting on his leg, where MADA medics and paramedics provided life-saving treatment, including sedation and intubation.

MADA paramedics Idan Milman and Muhammad Azbarga reported that the child was conscious but suffering from severe respiratory distress. "We provided urgent, stabilizing treatment in the field before evacuating him to the hospital, where his condition is defined as serious."
