Two men were seriously and lightly injured on Saturday evening in a shooting incident in Umm al-Fahm. Magen David Adom (MDA) medical teams provided first aid and evacuated them to HaEmek Hospital. Israel Police launched an investigation into the shooting, with the background believed to be criminal.
According to MDA spokesperson, at 21:02 a report was received at the MDA 101 dispatch center in the Gilboa region regarding injured individuals from a violence incident in Umm al-Fahm. Paramedics treated and evacuated two shooting victims to HaEmek Hospital: a 40-year-old in serious condition and a 30-year-old lightly injured.
Israel Police stated that officers from the Umm al-Fahm station initiated an investigation shortly after receiving reports of gunfire directed at the two men. Large police forces deployed to the scene, conducting investigative measures and gathering evidence. The primary working hypothesis points to a criminal background, and the exact circumstances remain under investigation.
