Irish rock band U2 has announced a new global concert tour, titled 'The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour', set to kick off in February 2027 with performances spanning Latin America and Europe. Alongside the tour announcement, the iconic band revealed that their 16th studio album, 'Carnaval De Luz', will be released on November 13.

While Israeli fans are not included in the current itinerary, the tour presents an opportunity to combine an overseas vacation with a concert by one of the world's biggest rock acts. Data compiled by SeatPick, a ticket comparison engine for live events, reveals a staggering price gap of over 400% across European venues, with tickets ranging from 250 euros in Paris to 1,300 euros in Milan.

Paris currently offers the most affordable entry point among European destinations on the schedule. Two shows planned at the Stade de France on May 5 and 8, 2027, start at 257 euros per ticket. Amsterdam follows closely, with the band performing on June 5 and 6, where tickets begin at 300 euros. Berlin hosts a concert on June 30 starting at 308 euros, while London features two shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 18 and 19, with prices kicking off at 309 euros.

Significant Price Disparities Across Europe

Conversely, fans planning to catch the band in Stockholm will need to shell out at least 500 euros per ticket, while the starting price in Lisbon stands at 540 euros. The biggest surprise in the data comes from Italy, where U2's two concerts at the San Siro Stadium in Milan on July 5 and 6 are the most expensive of the entire tour. The cheapest ticket for the first show stands at 985 euros, while the starting price for the second performance surges to 1,312 euros.

Gilad Zilberman, co-founder and CEO of SeatPick, noted that when an artist of U2's magnitude announces a new tour, ticket prices can vary dramatically between cities even for the exact same show. According to Zilberman, for Israeli audiences who frequently have to fly abroad anyway to see major international acts, destination choice plays a major role in travel planning.

Zilberman added: "A ticket to the Paris concert currently costs less than a third of the cheapest ticket available in Milan. For a couple planning a vacation around a concert, this gap can amount to thousands of shekels before even factoring in flights and hotels. We always recommend comparing multiple cities and dates rather than settling on the first destination that comes to mind."

Latin America Offers Cheaper Alternatives

Fans willing to travel as far as Latin America can find significantly lower admission prices. In Mexico City, where the band is scheduled to perform four times between February 23 and March 2, ticket prices start at just 100 euros. Buenos Aires also offers relatively low entry prices starting at 110 euros, though for Israeli travelers, distance and flight expenses generally make European stops far more accessible.

In total, the upcoming tour comprises 23 performances scheduled between February and July 2027. According to SeatPick figures, over 57,000 tickets are currently available for comparison across up to nine different providers for each concert.
