IDF investigating: Interceptor launched following fire by our forces in southern Lebanon - no casualties
The IDF stated that there are no casualties in the incident and that its circumstances are being checked and investigated. In accordance with Home Front Command policy, no alerts were activated in the area.
An interceptor was launched last night (between Tuesday and Wednesday) at a target in the skies over southern Lebanon, which was identified in retrospect as fire by IDF forces operating in the security zone. The IDF stated that there are no casualties in the incident and that its circumstances are being checked and investigated. In accordance with Home Front Command policy, no alerts were activated in the area.
Over the past week, the forces located and destroyed an underground shaft that was used to store weapons belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization. In addition, they located numerous weapons, including: Kalashnikov-type rifles, anti-tank missiles and launchers, artillery weapons, and RPG rockets.
