Trump Announces New Federal Super Intelligence Force to Lead AI Race
US President Donald Trump announced the creation of the Super Intelligence Force to lead global AI development, counter China, and prevent regulatory barriers.

US President Donald Trump has announced on Truth Social the creation of a new federal body named the "Super Intelligence Force", designed to centralize and coordinate the federal government's efforts in the field and ensure, as he stated, that the US continues to lead the world in the race to develop superintelligence.
Trump defined the technology as one of the most significant developments in history, claiming that many view it as "greater than the Industrial Revolution and the Internet Revolution." According to him, American leadership in the field will help protect national interests and improve the lives of all American citizens.
Leadership and Structure
According to TechCrunch, the new force is expected to be headed by Jay Clayton. Serving alongside him will be three vice chairs: Andrew Ferguson, Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Emil Michael, and Scott Kupor.
The team has been allocated 120 days to prepare a comprehensive report examining the risks and opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence. At the same time, one of the primary goals of the body is to counter growing competition from China.
"It would be irresponsible for the US to stop tracking developments and developing AI capabilities while countries like China continue to advance," Clayton stated, emphasizing that the biggest risk for the US is failing to remain first.
Balancing Innovation and Regulation
Alongside the desire to accelerate development, the task force's mandate also includes an attempt to prevent barriers that could harm innovation. Within this framework, it was determined that the body will develop programs to address threats related to superintelligence, while trying to avoid over-regulation and regulatory capture that could stifle competition.
