Criminal conflicts in Israel are crossing more and more red lines and endangering human lives; this time, such a conflict caused nocturnal anxiety in the Gaza Envelope communities. A young man in his 20s was shot during the night (between Friday and Saturday) at a gas station near Kibbutz Magen. The shooters fled after the attempted assassination, and the police are currently searching for them. The condition of the young man was defined as light, and he arrived independently at the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for treatment of the penetrating wounds.

It is estimated that this is an incident on a criminal background that developed from a conflict between criminal elements in the area. An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the shooting. It should be noted that today a reassuring message was delivered to the residents of the Eshkol region, given the concern in the area that a hostile terrorist activity or a security-related shooting had occurred.

Recall that as part of the fight against criminal organizations, at the beginning of the week, a 'Carlo' type weapon was found hidden in Tel Aviv, during a joint operation of the Prison Service and the Israel Police. The operation was carried out against the background of a conflict between criminal elements in the center of the country, and was attended by detectives from the Prison Service, police officers from the North Tel Aviv station, and fighters from the Central Border Police. The police estimate that it is related to the conflict between the Musli crime organization and the Jarushi family.

During the searches, the weapon was found at the Mandarin Hotel, where it was suspected to have been hidden by elements identified with criminal organizations. The weapon was transferred for further police handling, and the investigation continues.

Meanwhile, the incident in the south joins a message that arrived from the IDF Spokesperson, which again raised the pulse of many residents in the Gaza Envelope. The message confirmed that kites from the Gaza Strip were again seen in areas of communities near the fence:

"Yesterday (Friday), a kite was identified in the area of Kibbutz Nahal Oz. During searches by forces in the area this morning (Saturday), three more were identified. No suspicious findings were found on the kites. According to estimates, the kites crossed the border from the Gaza Strip. At no stage was there a danger to the public. The IDF continues to maintain constant contact with the communities."

Warnings from residents along the border with the Gaza Strip are proving more and more to be valid. "Four kites in less than 24 hours join a series of similar incidents in the recent period," said the 'Atid LaOtef' movement in response. "One must not be mistaken and treat this as an innocent or isolated event. Against the background of developments in the Strip, the security establishment must examine the phenomenon as a whole and understand who is operating it and for what purpose."
