Suspected serial arson in Ramat Gan: seven injured

An unusual incident took place in Ramat Gan overnight (between Thursday and Friday) as fires broke out in three nearby locations in the city center, in what is now being investigated as a case of suspected intentional arson.

A report from the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority (Dan District) indicates that the first wave of fires began in the early morning hours, with reports of a burning palm tree and a residential lobby on Herzl Street. Shortly thereafter, another fire broke out in the lobby of a residential building on nearby Jabotinsky Street. Firefighting teams dispatched to the scenes worked quickly to extinguish the flames, conducted comprehensive searches to ensure no residents were trapped, and cleared thick smoke from stairwells and lobbies.

Seven residents were evacuated in light condition due to smoke inhalation and were transferred for medical treatment. A fire investigator summoned to the scenes examined the findings and determined there is a strong suspicion of arson, noting a likely direct connection between the three incidents. All preliminary findings have been transferred to the police for further investigation.
