SmartCentres Reports 122% Q3 Net Profit Surge to CAD 145.55 Million
SmartCentres, led by Mitch Goldhar, reported a 122% surge in Q3 2026 net income to 145.55 million Canadian dollars despite a slight dip in revenues.

SmartCentres, the Canadian real estate firm led by Mitch Goldhar as active chairman and CEO, reported a significant surge in net income for the third quarter of 2026, reaching 145.55 million Canadian dollars.
The company's net profit more than doubled compared to 65.67 million Canadian dollars in the same period last year, marking a 122% increase. This impressive growth came despite a slight decline in revenue, which totaled 220.66 million Canadian dollars down from 226.69 million previously.
SmartCentres, which owns and manages commercial centers and real estate properties across Canada, maintained an exceptionally high occupancy rate of 98.2% across its portfolio. The total value of the company's assets stands at approximately 12.2 billion Canadian dollars.
Financial analysts note that real estate net income often reflects accounting adjustments in asset valuation rather than a direct increase in operational cash flow. These figures represent the public company's corporate earnings rather than Goldhar's personal revenues.
