Sharon Stone Reveals Near-Death Visions and Premonition of Losing Her Son
Actress Sharon Stone reveals her near-death experience following a 2001 stroke, describing visions of digital entities and a premonition about losing custody of her son, Roan.

Hollywood icon Sharon Stone (68) continues to share intimate details about the darkest periods of her life. Following her revelations last summer regarding a complex withdrawal from prescription drugs, the actress has now opened up about the aftermath of the near-fatal stroke she suffered in 2001. For the first time, she has detailed her near-death experience, including visions of mysterious entities and a premonition that her son would be taken from her.
In an exclusive preview of the premiere episode of the Breakdown podcast, hosted by Jewish actress Mayim Bialik, Stone recalled the challenging days following her release from the hospital.
The Digital Entities
Stone described the surreal experiences she had while recovering at home, where she struggled with insomnia and slept primarily during the day.
Stone shared:
"When I was lying on the couch, in that state between sleeping and waking, these balls of light appeared before me. Five balls of light just presented themselves and spoke to me in a digital language."
Instead of feeling terror, the actress felt curiosity and peace. She claims she entered into a negotiation with these entities. "I kept telling them, 'I don't know if I'm supposed to stay here or die,' and they answered that I was supposed to stay," she explained.
A Mother's Premonition
Her deepest anxiety during this spiritual experience was for her adopted son, Roan, who was only one year old at the time. The vision, she says, included a premonition of her future custody battle.
Stone recalled:
"I told them I could only stay if two of them remained with my son, because I didn't want him to be alone, and I had a feeling he was going to be taken from me. They agreed, but said my destiny required them to stay with me as well."
Three years later, in 2004, following her divorce from her then-husband Phil Bronstein, Stone indeed lost custody of Roan. "As expected, he was indeed taken from me," she admitted. Since then, Stone has adopted two more sons, and she maintains a close relationship with Roan today.
Reclaiming Her Life
This new revelation comes shortly after her candid confession in July, where she shared that she spent the past year regaining control of her life. She underwent a self-directed detox from the cocktail of prescription medications and medical cannabis she had been taking since her 2001 stroke.
In an interview with Variety, she revealed that she decided to stop her medication against her doctors' strict warnings. "It was like getting off fucking heroin. I was sick as a dog for four and a half months, but I wanted my life back," she stated.
