Shahar Hasson, one of Israel's most prominent comedians and stand-up stars, is trading his usual stage for a flight suit as he prepares to hit the big screen. Filming is currently underway for "The Best to Fly!", a wild new action comedy directed by Alon Gur Arye, known for "The Mossad". The film is slated to hit theaters across the country next year.

The plot follows Hasson as a crafty military NCO who finds himself thrust into the elite flight academy of the Israeli Air Force as part of an extreme social experiment where complete incompatibility with the system is the primary prerequisite. Alongside Hasson, a colorful group of misfit recruits—none of whom would ever be expected to finish the grueling course—wreaks absolute havoc within one of the strictest frameworks in the IDF.

The production features an impressive ensemble cast, including Zvika Hadar, Maor Schwitzer, and social media influencer Michel Pero in her cinematic debut. They are joined by Yael Elkana, Ori Pfeffer, Hisham Suleiman, Einat Sarouf, Uri Breuer, Yigal Adika, Avraham Arenson, Liad Katurza, Kim Chorinov, and Ofek Ben Meir. Gur Arye returns to his signature parody style, blending physical humor, aerial combat, and exaggerated characters operating in a military world taken deadly seriously.

Produced by United King Films under Ofer Naim, with support from the Rabinovich Foundation and Yes Israeli TV, the film is backed by the Israeli Air Force, which collaborated directly with the production and provided flight training for the cast. Earlier this year, Hasson also starred in the military comedy "Hill 338", a tribute to the classic Israeli satire "Halfon Hill Doesn't Answer".
