Security Warnings and Political Concerns
The video, produced and distributed on social media by the Struggle Organizations Forum, highlights deep concerns regarding the potential manipulation of national security. The forum has announced plans for a mass demonstration outside the Knesset on Thursday, September 17, under the banner "Stopping the Election Disruption War."
Former Prime Minister and Chief of Staff Ehud Barak stated in the video:
"A security escalation on the eve of elections serves political campaigns. Whoever benefits from it has both the ability and the incentive to advance it."
Accusations Regarding Escalation Tactics
Former Police Commissioner Moshe Caradi warned that the upcoming vote may be the most dramatic since the founding of the state. He specifically pointed to events in the West Bank, alleging that extremist actions are aimed at dragging the IDF into a major confrontation that could serve as a pretext for canceling the elections.
Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon echoed these concerns, urging authorities to curb provocations in advance. Former Mossad Director Tamir Pardo also warned of threats aimed at derailing the electoral schedule, pointing to regional tensions involving Turkey as part of a broader strategy to manufacture a state of war.
