A 38-year-old resident of the Gush Dan region, identified as Eduard Remzanov, has been named as the prime suspect in the violent assault of a Wolt courier in Savyon approximately two months ago. The Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office submitted a prosecutor's statement against Remzanov, paving the way for a severe indictment and a motion to detain him until the conclusion of proceedings.

The incident took place on August 16 at around 4:40 PM on HaMevo'ot Street in Savyon. Police and Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency crews rushed to the scene following reports of a violent altercation, finding the courier injured with moderate wounds. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to the investigation conducted by the Tel Aviv District Central Unit (Yamar), the background of the assault is criminal. Investigators established that the courier was brutally attacked with various weapons and beaten across his entire body, sustaining significant injuries. Remzanov fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival, prompting the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court to issue an arrest warrant.

Following a manhunt lasting nearly two months, police located and arrested Remzanov on October 13. His detention was extended periodically by the court as investigators gathered sufficient evidence. Prosecutors are expected to formally file charges of aggravated assault in the coming days.
