The Safari Ramat Gan is bringing back one of its most colorful and beloved traditions after a four-year hiatus, as unusual and highly entertaining elections are set to take place on October 27.

Animals Take the Campaign Trail

Instead of familiar politicians and political parties, the candidates vying for votes this time are the safari's animals, each representing a different department and a core value that matters to us all. On this day, visitors of all ages can participate in the vote, dropping ballots into special boxes placed across the safari to choose their favorite animal and value.

Excitement is already peaking across the safari as caretakers and staff ramp up preparations and campaigns gain momentum. Departments are hard at work: one is crafting catchy election jingles, another is preparing colorful signs, some staff have printed special t-shirts to support their candidates, and others are even drafting sharp campaign speeches.

Meet the Candidates

Among the prominent candidates seeking public trust are Noa the tigress representing the predators' department, running a campaign centered on family values. Meanwhile, Momo the turtle from the reptiles department is convincing voters of the importance of protection. Lucas the gorilla champions sustainability, and the macaws represent compassion and mutual aid. The prestigious list is rounded out by Yossi the elephant, who is asking for public trust under the banner of tolerance.

"The public and the media will get to see who wins the hearts of voters, which department takes victory, and which leading value is chosen to represent the safari," noted safari spokeswoman Hila Feldman Grau.

On election day, Tuesday, October 27, the safari will transform into a colorful, humorous, and creative democratic celebration combining a deep love for animals. Visitors can meet campaign managers, listen to their pitches, and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere filled with slogans, matching shirts, and speeches.
