A substitute science teacher at an elementary school in Rosh HaAyin threw a foam ball at fifth-grade students, striking them in the head after they disrupted the class. According to a message sent by the homeroom teacher to parents, the substitute first warned that anyone who remained noisy would be hit with the ball, and subsequently followed through on the threat.

The homeroom teacher noted in her message that she addressed the incident with the substitute and held a meeting with the school principal. "It was clarified to him that even if this was done as a joke, this is not an appropriate way to deal with classroom disruptions. It was agreed that the teacher would return to the class, address the incident, and clarify the matter to the students," she wrote.

At the same time, the teacher emphasized the responsibility of the students regarding classroom conduct, urging them to follow instructions and respect all educators. Parents expressed outrage over the incident, demanding the immediate dismissal of the substitute teacher from the school and criticizing the unacceptable behavior.
