New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has been named as one of the five finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2027 in the contributor category. The announcement comes after the Hall of Fame selection committee narrowed down a preliminary list of 42 candidates.

The committee will convene via video conference on November 17 to select a single representative from the final five for formal approval. The official announcement of the 2027 class is scheduled for February, with the induction ceremony to follow in August in Canton, Ohio.

Kraft purchased the Patriots in January 1994 for a then-record 172 million dollars. Under his ownership, the franchise captured six Super Bowl titles out of 11 appearances, with the team's current valuation soaring to 10.6 billion dollars.

Beyond sports, Kraft has recently drawn public attention for his civic stance and philanthropic efforts, including substantial support for Jewish communities and combating antisemitism, for which he received the Genesis Prize in 2019.
