Nico Paz Honors Late Spanish Forward as Como Destroys Lens 9-1
Nico Paz dedicated his goal to late Spanish striker Jesús de Miguel as Como crushed Lens 9-1 in the Champions League, with Anastasios Douvikas netting a hat-trick.

Como delivered a stunning performance in the Champions League, crushing Lens 9-1 away in France, while Argentine midfielder Nico Paz dedicated his brilliant goal to the late Spanish striker Jesús de Miguel.
Paz extended Como's lead to 3-0 in the 40th minute with a signature left-footed strike following a counterattack. Immediately after scoring, the midfielder unveiled a white undershirt bearing a picture of de Miguel, known as 'Demi', who tragically passed away at age 30 following a collision with Andorra's goalkeeper during a Spanish Segunda División match.
The tribute was deeply personal for Paz, who was born in Tenerife where his father, former Argentine defender Pablo Paz, once played. Marca praised Paz's brilliant performance and his emotional tribute, which resonated across the football world.
Anastasios Douvikas led Como's rampant offense with a stellar hat-trick, bringing his tally to six goals in the Champions League this season. Lucas Da Cunha, Marc Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, and Martin Baturina also added to the scoreline under manager Cesc Fàbregas, sealing a historic victory that lifts Como to fourth place in the Champions League standings.
