Reports in Gaza: Motorcyclist eliminated in an airstrike near Khan Yunis
A motorcyclist was eliminated in an airstrike near Khan Yunis today. Earlier, Paratrooper Brigade forces in the southern Gaza Strip shot a terrorist who breached the 'yellow line' and posed an immediate threat. These events occur amid reports from security officials regarding missed opportunities for targeted strikes.
According to reports from the Gaza Strip, a motorcyclist was eliminated earlier today, Thursday, in an airstrike near Khan Yunis.
Previously, it was reported that forces from the Paratrooper Brigade operating in the southern Gaza Strip shot a terrorist yesterday, Wednesday, who crossed the 'yellow line' and approached the forces, posing an immediate threat.
The IDF Spokesperson stated:
"IDF forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat."
Earlier this week, security officials confirmed that opportunities to strike Hamas military wing operatives were missed over the past week due to government policy. Conversely, senior political officials told "Walla" that "this is a complete lie; the IDF did not bring a single targeted killing for approval in the last week."
It was further reported that the Hamas leadership based in Qatar and Turkey exerted pressure on Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other countries, including the Peace Council, to pressure the White House to halt targeted killings. In Jerusalem, instructions were given to reduce such operations, but this did not satisfy the Americans, and targeted killings were completely halted earlier this week.
The situation in the Gaza Strip, where the IDF is operating with "tied hands" while the Peace Council accelerates rehabilitation processes without the disarmament of Hamas, has drawn criticism from within the security establishment.
