Cheese recall in Israel: product removed from shelves immediately
Gad Dairies has announced a recall of its Camembert product after a test conducted by the French manufacturer detected the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. The public is requested not to consume the product.

Gad Dairies is calling for the return of its Camembert product — a ripened cheese with white mold (33% fat) — following the discovery of the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. According to the company's announcement, the bacteria was found during a test conducted by the French manufacturer. The recall is being carried out in coordination with the Food Service at the Ministry of Health.

Consumers who have the product are requested to avoid consuming it. Gad Dairies announced that it is collecting the products from marketing channels. The Listeria monocytogenes bacteria can cause illness in high-risk populations, such as those with weakened immune systems and the elderly, and can also cause miscarriages in pregnant women.
