A fatal industrial accident occurred in Ramat Gan on Wednesday when a construction worker in his 30s was killed following a crane collapse from a truck at the Diamond Exchange district.

Firefighters from the Ramat Gan and Diamond Exchange stations rushed to the scene and worked to rescue the worker who was trapped beneath the heavy debris.

Paramedics from MDA (Magen David Adom) who arrived at the location found the victim unconscious, pulseless, and breathless with severe multisystem trauma. Medical teams attempted advanced resuscitation efforts, but due to the severity of his injuries, they were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.

MDA paramedic Omri Lotto and emergency medics Lior Shahar and Gilad Golinsky recounted: "This was a very difficult scene. When we arrived, we saw the worker who had apparently been struck by a heavy object. He was unconscious, without breathing or a pulse, and suffered from severe multisystem trauma. We immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, but his injuries were critical and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead on-site."
