Post-Holiday Price Drop: Flight and Vacation Costs Fall by 20%
Following the Tishrei holidays, flight and vacation package prices are dropping by up to 20% or more, opening an affordable autumn travel window before the winter holiday season.
Following the conclusion of the Tishrei holidays, a significant drop in the prices of flights and vacation packages offered by travel companies is expected, primarily due to the sharp decline in demand with the return to work and study routines. For some destinations and packages, price drops of about 20% compared to peak holiday prices can be observed, and in some destinations even more.
Fall Travel Opportunities
Nir Mazor, Vice President at Keshet Teufa, notes that alongside destinations in Greece, Cyprus, Georgia, and Romania, interesting opportunities are expected for travelers in places like Prague, Budapest, Rome, and other destinations suited for the autumn season.
For those who are flexible with their vacation dates, the period immediately following Sukkot is a significant window of opportunity for a vacation abroad at prices significantly lower than those of the holiday period—a window that will last until the start of the Christian holiday season and the opening of Christmas markets in early November, Mazor said.

Flight Statistics and Popular Destinations
According to Israel Airports Authority data, Greece was the leading country in passenger traffic from Ben Gurion Airport, followed by the USA, the UAE, Italy, and Cyprus. Georgia also stood out with 908,644 passengers during 2025. In October 2025 data for individual destinations, Athens was the leading destination with 987,803 passengers since the beginning of the year, followed by Larnaca with 911,562 and Dubai with 892,151.
Batumi recorded 365,989 passengers and Rhodes 305,264 for the cumulative period of 2025. Ahead of the 2026 Tishrei holidays, the Airports Authority published that the expected leading destinations are Greece, Cyprus, the USA, Italy, and the UAE.
